Short and sweet: about half an hour.
Drinks and mingling, formal photos.
A sit-down dinner with some speeches & cake.
Until 9:30 pm. Wear shoes you can dance in.

A 1928 rug-cleaning warehouse turned event space in Scott's Addition: white stucco, red tile roof, and a library room lined floor to ceiling with color-sorted books.

Richmond International (RIC) is 20 minutes from the city center & venue. Washington Dulles (IAD) is about a two-hour drive or train ride on Amtrak Northeastern route.
Scott's Addition and the Fan have plenty of hotels and rentals within a short distiance.
There is street parking availible in Richmond and the Hoff is located right next to the Scott's Addition stop of the Pulse Line Bus on Broad St (all buses in Richmond are free!). You won't need a car for the wedding itself.
what to wear
Cocktail / semi-formal, however if there's something fun in your closet you never get an excuse to wear, please wear it!
It's February in Virginia: chilly out, warm inside. Bring a layer for the walk in.

Probably chilly, highs around 50°F (10°C), and evenings colder. Everything will be indoors. Also, it's Richmond, temperature could be plus or minus 20°F we won't know for sure until morning of!
